I` ve discovered that in our brain there is an area in the gray matter ( it is named AMIGDALA which is a greek name) that looks like an almond, in that is located all the emotional knowledge of memories, without it would be impossible to evaluate the emotional knowledge of the events and the human life would be absolutely flat and devoid of taste. So I decided to have a strong graphic about the brain but also to introduce a sort of lobotomized girl totally deprived of energy and vitality as if she would not be able to feel anymore ( at the end I`ve indroduced 2 girls, one on the front cover and one at the back). The graphic came out pretty dark which i like and the music that I have put in the disk is very strong rock music by some of my favorite bands. The booklet contains illustration and also the lyrics of the songs.

Paolohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14194005536065034172noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4381125708442577301.post-25155454229677733162008-11-16T05:54:00.000-08:002008-11-16T05:56:17.476-08:00CD DESIGN; leilaniFor my Cd design I decided to base it off a friends band, Onesian. Since the music is a Polynesian style of hip hop and Rnb, I am going with an islands feel for it. I am not however, going do any of the clichéd palm trees and beaches things. I hope to portray this with the use of a mainly brown and black colour scheme, and weave textures of the samoan ie toga for the inside part. I am also going to incorporate some of the traditional samoan tatau as bordering in the design, mainly in the booklet, and hopefully as a movable feature on the front cover.Lanzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17257004272370313173noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4381125708442577301.post-28924307923355874132008-10-29T13:51:00.000-07:002008-10-29T14:03:28.630-07:00Jade: CD Design
My CD will include a single disc with an 8 page booklet, the case being constructed from cardboard. The CD will be a compilation of rock/alternative music of about 18 songs. I've decided to call my CD "The Bucket", a name inspired by a rock song I like. I plan to relate the images of the design to a bucket in some way. My design will have a vintage feel and will have have alot of inspiration from 1950's children's book illustrations- so I'll be hand rendering the images myself, and possibly doing some further editing in photoshop. I want the over all look of my design to have a vintage, worn look, but the illustrations themselves to have more of a modern twist.jadehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10183776336847854695noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4381125708442577301.post-45219565410568114952008-10-20T16:07:00.000-07:002008-10-20T16:13:37.311-07:00CD Design: GemmaFor my CD design project I have decided to focus the genre on a compilation of hip hop and rnb type music.
My CD case will be a cardboard based object with graphics, both vector images and photos, printed onto each section of the design. They are a four piece Rock band called “Push.”
I did a brainstorm of the design. It will have a front and back cover with an 8 page booklet. The inside will have information about the band, a picture of each person, a little explanation about them, a list of songs and a list of thanks to those who made it. I already have photos from the band.
I will make the CD packaging with cardboard because it will save time and avoid damage. I don’t like plastic jewel cases on CD packaging as they can easily be damaged and they’re old fashioned. I want a new and interesting way of packaging CDs.Abbyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00062754836738513487noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4381125708442577301.post-15687640646948090722008-09-03T18:53:00.000-07:002008-09-24T18:49:12.005-07:00100 wdsKINGSCLIFF CAMPUS OF TAFE 7890 GRAPHIC DESIGN FOUNDATION
5371E TWO DIMENSIONAL DESIGN

"I've never bought a record without being influenced by the cover"
Peter Maybury

"An album cover is more important than ever these day.
